Moose Viewing Area to the Willow River Viewpoint

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading an Easy (B1c) snowshoe from the Moose Viewing Area, approximately 30 km east of Prince George, to the Willow River Viewpoint, on Saturday, Jan. 7th. Although Environment Canada’s long-range forecast for Saturday calls for a high of -12 C, participants should bring lots of warm clothing, plus adequate food and a hot drink. Saturday night’s forecast calls for the temperature to dip to a low of -29 C, with periods of snow. This snowshoe’s distance and duration may be shortened or altered due to deteriorating weather conditions or time constraints. Please meet 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 9 a.m. in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall. The carpool fee is $3.

Shelly Snowshoe Trip

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading an Easy (B2b) snowshoe near Shelley, 13 km northeast of Prince George, on Sunday, Jan. 8th. Participants should bring lots of warm clothing, plus adequate food and a hot drink, as Environment Canada’s long-range forecast for Jan. 8th calls for a high of -22 C with periods of snow. This snowshoe’s distance and duration may be shortened or altered due to extremely cold weather. Please meet 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall. The carpool fee is $4.
