The new Raven Lake cabin in Sugarbowl - Grizzly Den Provincial Park is now officially open to the public. BC Parks says a new online reservation system for overnight users, to be overseen by the Prince George Backcountry Recreation Society (PGBRS), is projected to be implemented in December or in the new year. In the meantime, overnight stays at the cabin will be based on a first come, first serve basis, but mandatory payment by users is required by envelopes and a drop box provided within the cabin, or by electronic money transfers to the PGBRS (see PGBRS.org). The fee is $5 per night per person. The new cabin has a maximum capacity of 14 people and tent pads are located nearby. For those planning an overnight stay at the cabin, please bring your own overnight supplies. Also please be respectful of this brand new facility and note that graffiti is prohibited.
