UNBC/BLUE SPRUCE/ALPINE MEADOWS LOOP, DEC. 18TH

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading an Easy/Moderate (C1c) snowshoe/hike from the UNBC/Greenway parking lot, south along trails east of the Blue Spruce trail to its beginning, and then east and north back to the UNBC Greenway parking lot on Sunday, Dec. 18th. Although Environment Canada’s current long-range forecast calls for a break from the cold weather (a high of -10 C), participants should still bring lots of warm clothing, adequate food and a hot drink. They should also bring both snowshoes and ice cleats with them, in case there is a shortage of snow and possibly icy trails. PLEASE MEET 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME OF 9 A.M. IN THE PARKING LOT BEHIND PRINCE GEORGE CITY HALL. The carpool fee is $2.

THIS SNOWSHOE/HIKE MAY BE SHORTENED, ALTERED OR POSSIBLY CANCELLED DUE TO EXTREMELY COLD WEATHER. BUT A HIKE LEADER WILL BE AT THE CITY HALL PARKING LOT SUNDAY AT 9 A.M. TO CONSULT WITH THOSE WHO SHOW UP.
