Universal Boardwalk Project

Mission Statement

To provide access into the world unique inland temperate rainforest of British Columbia by way of a 400 meter long Universal Boardwalk at the Ancient Forest Interpretive Trail. The boardwalk will enable visitors in wheelchairs, those with other mobility or mental health challenges, and everyone else to experience the only inland temperate rainforest in the world that is so far from the ocean.

One of our goals is to show the value of this type of forest as a recreational and educational resource, and that conservation of the attributes that make this forest type special and unique is a worthy cause and one that future generations deserve an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy.
