Safety Tips

Hiking is a fun and healthy activity enjoyed by people of all ages. However, as with any activity, there are many risks to be aware of when you are out on the trail. Unfortunately each year, local volunteer rescue groups respond to dozens of calls from hikers who become lost in the woods, or have received injuries and are unable to make it back safely. It isĀ  important that you educate yourself about outdoor safety to minimize the risks and know how to respond in an emergency.
