What an exhilarating adventure it was to hike the Fort George Canyon with around 30 fellow Ramblers! Our journey began with a bit of a splash as we navigated through a colossal puddle created by some industrious beavers busy building their dam. The mosquitos at the trailhead were plentiful. But don't you worry—once we hit the trail, those pesky mosquitos seemed to magically disappear!
The weather was our friend that day; while the sun peeked out and tried to make an appearance, it thankfully refrained from unleashing any rain on us. The trail itself was in decent condition, with only a few muddy spots to add a bit of character to our trek.
A huge thank you goes to Dave King for his invaluable contribution. Not only did he lead the way with expertise, but he also dedicated himself to clearing parts of the trail and sharing fascinating historical insights about this incredible path we were exploring. It was an adventure well worth every step!
