Seventeen members of the Caledonia Ramblers Hiking Club snowshoed to the historic Huble Homestead 40 km north of Prince George, and located beside the Fraser River.

The age- range of the group was between 6 years and 76 years. The route to the Homestead began at the east end of Edric Road and meandered 8 km down-slope to the Homestead. The terrain was a mix of clear trail and bushwhacking and took taking 3.5 hours to cover.>

The Caretaker of the Homestead Mike Hardeman and his four children opened their doors to us, with a warm and welcoming woodstove, homemade snacks, and teas and coffee – all of which was very much appreciated.
