Seventeen ramblers embarked on a 13km hike along the historic Nuxalk-Carrier Grease Trail.
The green of the moss with the sun dappling through the trees, the rugged textured bark of the douglas fir trees, the sun warming our faces, and the bare earth trail beneath the soles of our boots made for an amazing early spring hike. Stopping for lunch and sitting on the dry grass in the sun on the ridge was hard to leave.
On the way out some drove down to the rest area at the Blackwater river, as elsewhere the water level seems very low for this time of year.
Thank you to Jessica for volunteering to lead hikes, it was a wonderful day
