Destination: Fraser Mountain
The Caledonia Ramblers will leading a moderate/strenuous hike up Fraser Mountain, 140 kilometres west of Prince George. The trail can be steep in spots, but provides splendid views of Fraser Lake on the way up. Once the trail moves to the mountain’s south side, just above cliffs on the way to the summit, great views can be had to the west and south. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or something else to drink, lunch and/or snacks, extra clothing, rain gear, insect repellent and perhaps gaiters, sunscreen, hiking poles and bear spray. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall.
