Destination: Mount Murray (Barkerville)

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading a Moderate/Strenuous (D4d) hike up Mt. Murray (Barkerville) on Sunday, July 4th, approximately 215 km southeast of Prince George. This will be a there and back hike up the Yellowhawk trail to the summit. As Sunday’s weather forecast is calling for continued hot, sunny weather, participants should wear light-weight, loose-fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat, if possible. Each hiker should also bring a daypack containing at least two litres of water or something else cool to drink, lunch and snacks, sun screen, insect repellent and rain gear. They should also consider bringing hiking poles and bear spray. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 7 a.m. in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall.
