Destination: Harvey–McCabe Crossover

Join us for this weekend trip to the Bulkley Valley! We will drive to Smithers the morning of Saturday August 8th to fit in a short hike in the afternoon (such as Crater Lake on Hudson's Bay Mountain). On Sunday August 9th we'll meet up with the Bulkley Valley Hiking Club who will hike with us through the Harvey-McCabe Crossover trail in Babine Mountains Provincial Park. The Harvey-McCabe crossover is a 17 km hike with an elevation gain of 800 metres. The Harvey-McCabe crossover offers stunning views of Babine Mountain Provincial Park. 

Participants have the option of driving back to PG Sunday evening after the hike or staying an extra night and driving back on Monday. Overnight hotel or camping accommodation is available in Smithers (trip leaders are staying at Stork Nest Inn). Hikers are responsible for making their own overnight reservations. All participants must be club members to go on overnight trips.

Preregistration is required to go on this trip. If you plan to go, please email the trip leaders as early as possible and no later than July 24th. A trip planning meeting will be held with confirmed participants to arrange rides and other details at a date TBD.
