Destination: Greenway Trails

The Caledonia Ramblers are hosting a snowshoe along part of the Greenway trail system behind UNBC on Sunday, April 7. It will follow the Swampy trail, Sawmill trail and UNBC loop and is rated moderate. Although in the same area, this is a different route than the one originally scheduled for this date. There won't be any bushwacking and there will be much less elevation gain but the distance will be greater and should take about six hours to complete. Along with snowshoes, participants should be equipped with proper footwear and a daypack carrying extra clothing, food and drink. Hiking poles and cleats are also worth considering. Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the 9 a.m. departure time.
