Destination: Tabor Mountain

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading a Moderate (C3c) crossover hike up the west side of Tabor Mountain to Troll Lake cabin, descending down the north side of the mountain to a pullout on Hwy 16, just east of the former Tabor Mountain Ski Resort, on Monday, May 20th. This hike will begin approximately 24 km east of Prince George and will involve a vehicle shuttle. Hikers will start at the Troll Lake trailhead on Groveburn Road, walk east along the Troll Lake trail to the Troll Lake cabin (lunch) and then hike northeast along the Troll Lake North and Hickory Wing trails to the Hwy 16 pullout. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or something else to drink, lunch and snacks, extra clothing and rain gear, gaiters and perhaps hiking poles and bear spray. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 9 a.m. in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall.
