Destination: Tabor Mountain

The Caledonia Ramblers want to introduce a NEW area trail to hikers! The club will be leading a Moderate (C3d) hike up Tabor Mountain’s Martin trail and the new officially cleared-out Treeline trail to the Treeline cabin on Sunday, Nov. 17th. If the weather is particularly bad that day, the club may opt to do a moderate (C3c) mother’s day/humble pie combo hike in the pidherny recreation site instead. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something hot to drink, lunch and snacks, extra warm clothing and rain gear and maybe hiking poles, gaiters and bear spray for both possible hikes. They are also encouraged to bring ice cleats or ‘grippers’ in case there is ice on either trail. Please meet in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall 10 minutes before the 9 a.m. departure time for either hike. The carpool fee is $3 for the Treeline hike, $2 for the possible Mother’s Day/Humble Pie Combo hike.
