Due to the forest fire currently burning within the park, BC Parks has closed this park until further notice. A helicopter plus an Initial Attack and an Unit Crew are responding to this 39 hectare wildfire. Suppression efforts, have been effective despite the challenging terrain and extreme slope onsite. Priority objectives are to establish safe access for crews and to continue work on the east and west flanks to protect the drainages, ensuring that the fire doesn't move down slope towards the highway.

The suspected cause is a lightening strike and was reported on July 10th.

This fire also impacts the Driscoll Ridge Trail and hikers are advised to avoid using it.
