Dave King has been awarded the "Citizen of the Year" Award for his many years and thousands of hours of volunteer work improving and maintaining the many outdoor trails around P.G (and continues to do so at age 80).  Along with Bob Nelson, Dave created, edited, printed, distributed and continues to update the Central Interior Trail Guide, and the Robson Valley Trail Guide for the last 35 years.  He has also been a Director of the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC, the PG Backcountry Recreation Society, Hike BC and the Tabor Mountain Recreation Society - not to mention President of the Caledonia Ramblers Hiking Club for 15 years. Dave was instrumental in developing the Vineyards Trail, the Viking Ridge Trail, Caledonia Mountain Trail, Fang Mountain Trail and the Ancient Forest Trail/Park (along with Nowell Senior). Without Dave, we wouldn't have the recreation opportunities we have today. Congratulations Dave, you really deserve the award.
