On Sunday, April, 28th, 10 ambitious Ramblers persevered on the 10 kilometre hike to Fort George Canyon.
Although the unrelenting rain and snow made it uncomfortably wet and cold, we arrived at our destination. We could hear the honking of geese in the distance— most likely just as surprised with the snow as we were.
The river was so low, we could walk right up to the island. The paddle-wheelers would have had a difficult time navigating through the field of rocks.
After a quick lunch, we made our way back at a fast pace to keep warm. It was an enjoyable day by all.
