Ten Ramblers hiked through the hills at Eskers. The temperature was quite pleasant at -10 to -6 C.
The trails were a bit of a mix bag with some areas being hard packed, while others consisted of soft deep snow. There were a few blow downs to maneuver over, under or around. There was lots of snow still on the trees and snow fell during the last few kilometers of the hike. There were lots of signs of rabbits and moose, but none were seen.
The long loop was just over 12KM and took about 5 hours with stops.
Thank you, Elizabeth, for leading us and Greg for being the sweep, it was great snowshoe, and you volunteering your time is greatly appreciated.
