A bunch of Ramblers set out for a relaxed outing to Korky Lake, a small forested lake located along the Greenway Trails behind UNBC. The group followed the well‑established Greenway path through mixed forest, enjoying gentle grades and a steady pace suitable for hikers of all experience levels. Weather conditions were great, and the shaded trail made for comfortable walking. As the group approached the lake, the forest opened slightly, offering glimpses of calm water framed by spruce and pine trees.
Lunch was enjoyed at the lakeshore, where the quiet setting and still water created a peaceful break before the return hike. The outing was sociable, scenic, and accessible—an ideal day for both new and long‑time Ramblers.
