From Prince George, take Highway 16 East and travel 201 km and turn right onto Lamming Pit Road (about 7 km west of McBride). Alternatively you can turn right on Dore River Rd located 5 km west of McBride if you miss the first turn off. If turning onto Lamming Pit Road, travel 2 km till it reaches Dore River Rd and turn right. From this point at 6.3 km there will be a slight right, stay right to continue along the Dore River Road. Continue down the road for another 7.7 km till you reach a junction - keep right and travel another 3.6 km till you reach the parking area for the trailhead located on the right.

Note: Porcupines inhabit the area. Ensure that you park your vehicle within the chicken wire fencing to keep the critters from eating your brake lines.
