Destination: Ozalenka Cabin

A three-day trip to Ozalenka Valley near McBride is set for the Canada Day long weekend, July 1-3. It will require a 7-kilometre backpack over a moderate trail to the cabin, which the club has reserved for the two days. The cabin sleeps up to 10 people, however participants are urged to bring their own tents if they have them. Cost for the cabin is $240 split amongst the number of people sleeping in the cabin. Please also note, you must be a club member to participate. The plan is to leave the city early in the morning and hike into the cabin on the Saturday. The trailhead is about 220 kilometres east of Prince George. On Sunday, we will explore what is a very scenic area and on the Monday pack up and leave - not too early but not too late. Participants who are interested in this excursion are asked to send an email to Mark by the evening of Thursday, June 29 to arrange carpools.

The carpool fee is $30 + cabin fee per person
