Destination: Pope Mountain

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading a Moderate/Strenuous snowshoe up Pope Mountain, 168 km northwest of Prince George, on Sunday, Feb. 19th. The hike is about 14 kilometres round-trip with a 750-metre elevation gain and takes you to the top of Pope Mountain where you can take in stunning view of nearby Stuart Lake and the Babine Mountains further to the west. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something warm to drink, lunch and snacks, extra clothing, and snowshoes. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot in front of Walmart.
