Destination: Viking Ridge

The Caledonia Ramblers will be hosting a snowshoe up the Viking Ridge trail, on Sunday, April 12. The hike is rated moderate-strenuous and to reach the lake, it's about 5.5 kilometres from the trailhead with an elevation gain of 869 metres. Participants should bring snowshoes, along with a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something hot to drink, lunch and snacks, layered clothing, hiking poles and possibly ice cleats. Meet at the city hall parking lot 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 9 a.m.
