Destination: Viking Ridge

The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading a moderate/strenuous hike up Viking Ridge to the ridge itself, approximately 85 km east of Prince George. The elevation gain is 1200 metres and the round-trip distance is 13 km. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something else to drink, lunch and snacks, extra clothing and rain gear, insect repellent, gaiters and perhaps sunscreen, hiking poles and bear spray. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 7 a.m. at the Highway 16 East PetroCan parking lot.
