Destination: Mount Murray (Pine Pass)

Volunteers willing to participate in this Saturday’s (June 1st’s) club work hike on the Mount Murray (Pine Pass) trail will not have to pay a carpool fee, as has been the practice with past work hikes.

Those who want to work on this project will concentrate on the first kilometre of trail, which needs to be dug out in places where the track cut out 30 years ago or more has slid or eroded. Participants are welcome to bring good shovels or Pulaskis, but hike organizers will bring along a few Pulaskis as well as some bush axes and a chain saw. This will likely be a Strenuous full-day exercise. Volunteers should bring gloves, appropriate footwear, a good supply of water, lunch and snacks, insect repellent, sunscreen, a proper daypack and extra clothing. Please meet at 7 a.m. in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall.
