Destination: Goodsir Nature Park

The Ramblers have submitted an application to the Outdoor Recreation Council of BC Community Small Grants for up to $500. If successful, the grant would help toward an increased Accessibility Project at Goodsir Nature Park.

Work on this project began last year with 20 truckloads of donated gravel to provide a better surface for wheelchairs and strollers. A  donated John Deer "sit on" Tractor was used to transport the gravel along the trail, but the John Deere is out of commission at the moment and may not be available on June 4th. If so, then we will have an opportunity to practice our wheelbarrow skills, along with hoes and rake handling.

We have 6 wheelbarrows on site and a few hoes and rakes, but bring hoes and rakes if you have them. Two people per wheelbarrow, and trading off every 5 minutes or so will make the work manageable along with the hoe and rakes.

The work will begin at 10 am and end at 1 pm. Please meet 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 9:15 a.m. at the Prince George City Hall parking lot.
