Ancient Forest Provincial Park is Reopened

The Ancient Forest Chun T’oh Whudujut Provincial Park has been reopened as of July 17th to recreational visitors. However the Driscoll Ridge Trail remains closed in its entirety. Fire crews remain on site to contain the fire.

Ancient Forest Provincial Park Closed by Wildfire

Due to the forest fire currently burning within the park, BC Parks has closed this park until further notice. Crews are onsite fighting the 39 hectare fire. This also impacts the Driscoll Ridge Trail and hikers are advised to avoid using it.

Guidelines for Avalanche Safety Adopted

In answer to concerns about venturing into the higher elevations where there is a chance of being exposed to danger from avalanches, the club's board of directors has approved and adopted some guidelines. Please give them a read if you're interested in participating in these types of trips as club progresses along the schedule for this winter.
